Therefore, backward and fresh technology and equipment will be gradually eliminated, while the implementation and application of advanced technology and equipment will be accelerated. For example, in the iron and steel industry, basic furnaces and small blast furnaces, converters and electric furnaces will be phased out, while continuous casting and off-furnace refining will be launched and implemented at a faster rate.

These things will provide a new great opportunity for the refractory industry, at the same time also put forward a new quality of refractory brick, the severe request, and will have hundreds of refractory consumption in our country between manufacturers more fierce competition and they all have to struggle for life, and the resolution factor as follows:

(2) consume more competitive and efficient products with refractory bricks at a reasonable price;

(3) have the ability to develop high-quality new products with better use function, and provide good after-sale effect.

It can be predicted that China's firebrick industry will adjust its commodity structure and increase the output of high-efficiency products. Should speed up the development of alumina - based high - efficiency products, further improve their quality, reduce cost. Competition between refractory bricks and amorphous materials, including prefabricated products, will continue in the future. The proportion of consumption of amorphous materials will increase greatly, and the efficient castable will take the lead: in this respect, the micro powder process; (preparation and application) should be a focus of research and development. Considering the high temperature function (mechanical function, thermal shock resistance, corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance), the oxide and non-oxide composite material is a new type of high quality and efficient firebrick with a way out, which can rise and gradually develop in the new century. This is an area well worth exploring, investing in, and developing.
